Why pre-qualify?


Before you begin looking at land, home plans, or a builder, you need to know the financial impact of building your new home.  Chances are, you know your credit is good, but construction financing is unlike any other mortgage loan.

 
 

There are many things to consider…how long will it take to construct?  How long can I lock my rate?  What closing costs should I plan for?  What type of mortgage is best for me?

Also, did you know that your construction lender will be your “eyes and ears” during the construction process?  The lender makes sure the builder is making adequate progress, and controls the flow of money based on that progress. 

The bottom line is, next to the builder you choose, your lender will play the most vital part in the construction of your home.
